Hoster FAQ
Useful answers, without the sales talk.
These answers describe exactly where Hoster helps a short-let owner or small manager, and where it deliberately does not.
Who is Hoster for?
Hoster is for owners and small short-let managers with roughly one to twenty apartments who coordinate cleaning with one or more housekeepers and need stronger evidence, clearer schedules, and simpler payment tracking.
How often does Hoster check Airbnb and Booking.com calendars?
Hoster refreshes iCal feeds every 15 minutes. It uses the calendar timing to create or update cleaning work and flag same-day turnovers.
What can a housekeeper see in Hoster?
A housekeeper sees their assigned apartment task, due time, cleaning checklist, required photos, and their own paid/pending cleaning work. The API does not send guest names, emails, ID numbers, or booking prices.
How does first-to-confirm scheduling work?
An owner can offer a cleaning task to a trusted group. Hoster sends the task by email and WhatsApp; the first housekeeper to confirm becomes the assigned cleaner.
Can the owner customise a checklist for every apartment?
Yes. Each apartment can have its own rooms, cleaning tasks, and required photo points. The cleaner must complete the required evidence as part of the task.
What happens if the phone has no signal?
The housekeeper can capture photos in weak-signal locations. Photos queue on the phone and upload when the device is connected again.
What is included in a dispute pack?
A dispute pack brings together the cleaning checklist, housekeeper, submitted photos, and timing for the relevant completed clean, ready to support a platform resolution process.
Can a cleaner report something broken?
Yes. The housekeeper can report damage, a missing item, or maintenance issue from the task. The owner receives the report with the property context.
How are housekeeper payments handled?
Completed cleans create a financial record. Housekeepers can see their own work as paid or pending, submit receipt-photo expenses, and owners can mark payments paid.
Can I create a guest check-in page?
Yes. Hoster supports fully customisable property landing pages for access instructions, Wi-Fi, house rules, local recommendations, check-out, and direct WhatsApp contact with the host.
Does Hoster replace a channel manager?
No. Hoster reads Airbnb and Booking.com iCal calendar feeds for cleaning operations. It does not distribute availability, manage channels, or sync pricing.
Does Hoster offer AI messaging or file taxes?
No. Hoster is not AI-powered, does not automate guest messages, does not file taxes, and does not connect to AADE or the property registry.
What does the pilot cost?
Nothing. Test access is free for as long as the pilot runs, and that includes help setting up your calendars, housekeepers and guest guides. We are taking one or two Greek hosts or managers at a time so every setup gets proper attention.
What happens when the pilot ends?
We will tell you the pricing before anything changes and you decide then. Nothing starts charging automatically. If you walk away, you can export your data first — your calendars, photos and files stay in accounts you already control.
How much work is it to get started?
About twenty minutes. You paste the iCal link from each listing, add your apartments and housekeepers, and the first cleaning schedule builds itself from your existing bookings. You do not move off Airbnb or Booking.com, and nothing about your listings changes.
